Multiple Paths?

So while I am going in blind here there is some information I'd like to know from those who have finished the game or seen otherwise.

I'm on day two of deciding who I should hang out with and I want to hang out with Gregg since he seems depressed but I hung out with Bea the first day. If I hang out with Gregg would that mean I'd be locked out of doing everything with Bea? Or vice versa?

In other words, should I spend the entire game hanging out with one person and do the other in another playthrough or is it okay to do a mixture throughout?

Overall it's better to just focus on one of them in a single playthrough. Besides the hangouts, nothing in the main plot changes besides a few scenes being slightly different.
