KB/M or controller?
I'm about to start the game and my question is simple. Should I play with keyboard and mouse or with a controller?

Thanks for any input!

I don't think there's much significant difference so probably whichever you personally prefer. I used keyboard and it was alright, but if I had a choice I might've played with a controller :)

Controller.

There is analog control of the movement with a controller, which imo feels better than always running at full speed when playing it on keyboard.

I'd love to play with a controller, but for whatever reason the game absolutely refuses to recognise my XB360 controller.

It won't recognize my 380 controller or my knockoff dualshock either, so I had to use xpadder to use one. Annoying, but it works I guess.

It is also not recognizing my 360 controller, and as dumb as this sounds idk how willing I am to play with KB&M right now haha.

Edit: Fixed this by disabling Virtual HID Devices in Device Manager.

Strange, it works fine with my ps3 controller emulated as a 360 controller.
I played through the entire thing with KB/M, but I want to do it with a controller now because I feel like that will help me with the band practice mini game. It won't recognize my Steam controller OR my Dualshock 2 controller.

Either way should work fine. I personally prefer controllers for games like this, so I've just been using my Steam Controller.

It won't. The third part of that minigame is hell with a controller, demanding that you hit A and Y in quick succession.

Using a Razer Wildcat, no luck here.

Man, that part was such a pain, I didn't wanna do it on the keboard because of the ending part, but controller sucked with the default layout, AND it's not rebindable. Rebindable controller inputs would help so much.

I played with keyboard and mouse, and it's fine for the exploration parts, but controller is definitely recommended for literally every minigame

Ended up playing with the 360 pad. I'm glad I did 'cause I would have failed misserably at band practice if I had gone with KB/M. Also, I feel Demon Tower is a lot easier with it.

Thanks for the input, guys!
