Installation for the game

I bought the Settlers 7 long time ago, but it is DVD form. As my laptop no longer have DVD rom. I need a installation file to put the game on my laptop. Then I can use my cd key. So is anyone knows where to download the installation files?

I think your best chance is to download/install the Uplay software (you'll have to do it anyway) create an account (if you don't have one already) and redeem your DVD serial. Then your copy will be linked to UPlay, so Steam is not needed for Settlers 7.

I hope Uplay accepts your DVD serial key, if not try to contact their customer service and ask if you can redeem the key if you can prove you own the DVD copy.

Don't be disencoureged by other people experiences with UPlay, it is always worth a try!

Hello man! Thanks for the comment. I had contact with UPlay and they told me that there is only way to solve the problem: install the game by using the dvd... anyway, maybe one day they will change their mind.
