Piuttosto ridateci Silent Hunter 3, patchato,moddato e reso compatibile con Win7 e 8.

Cominciamo col dire che il feeling e il divertimento non è lo stesso di Silentu Hunter 3, difficile pure spiegare il motivo ma è molto più noioso.
Molti meno comandi, interfaccia peggiore del 3, macchinoso il fatto di doversi muovere a piedi per puntare o fare altro.
Cosa GRAVISSIMA poi: hanno completamente tolto la gestione del personale, che a me piaceva mentre viaggiavi selezionare il personale nelle varie postazioni e farlo riposare. Mettere gli uomini migliori quando c'era bisogno etc... etc...
Hanno invece inserito degli specie di 'superpoteri' da parte dell'equipaggio, orribili!
Altra cosa brutta, non si potenzia più il sottomarino, non si comprano siluri nuovi o più aggiornati. Ma sopratutto non si possono comprare nuovi sottomarini!!!!!!!!!!!!! non si puo prendere il type X o il type XXI incredibile, tutto basato solo sul singolo type VII. DELUSIONE MASSIMA!
Unica nota positiva và per la grafica, molto più carina. Anche le mappe sono più ricche di dettagli e le missioni un po' più varie.

Very disappointed with Steam but the game is good after you fix it yourself.
Something to be aware of is this game in most cases WILL NOT PLAY after download from Steam without jumping through some hoops. You will most likely have to fix the problems with this game yourself which is unsatisfactory but guess there's no way around that. When I first purchased from Steam and tried to play I got the notorious "service not available" error and the game does not launch. It appears that "Uplay" is the problem. at least it was for me. To fix this problem I went to Ubisoft and downloaded the "OFFICIAL" updated version of Uplay. I DO NOT RECOMMEND A 3RD PARTY site download but that's up to you. Here is the legit Ubisoft link for the Uplay update to get Silent Hunter V to work:
https://uplay.ubisoft.com/en-GB. After downloading and installing Uplay directly from Ubisoft the game works like it should on my 64-bit Windows 10 Pro computer with the latest windows updates.

This is something that Steam should know and take care of before taking your money and expecting you to figure things out on your own. That is very unprofessional of Steam and makes them look very bad. This is a widely experienced problem with Silent Service V and Steam should be all over this fix but they are not.
This worked for me but your mileage may vary.

Un problema continuo.

Ho comprato il gioco ma non mi funziona. All avvio del gioco mi si apre la finestra UBISOFT e mi dice che il servizio non è al momento disponibile. In pratica ho buttato 10 euro e non ho assistenza da nessuno. Mai più. Meglio comprare il gioco in dvd

Ho cambiato computer.
Col nuovo PC non riesco più ad attivare il gioco.

Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic, isn't a terrible game by any means. It can be quite fun at times and exciting. Unfortunately, the glitches and bugs out weigh any fun this game will give to you. With the corrupted save files, ghost ships etc. But, if these were the only problems with the game, hell, I'd say give it a shot. Alas, it is not. And the problem this game suffers from, is not the game itself, no no, It's the beautiful, glorious, riveting Ubisoft.

You've just installed the game. You hit the play button of course! Time for some fun, you'll give the game a shot. A few minutes later Uplay shows up to tell you that, "Hi! You need to create another account! Along with the millions and millions of other online accounts you already have! Ha ha!" So, begrudgingly, you decide to make another damned account. Twenty minutes later you're account is set up. Perfect. You've given them the product key and you're ready to play.


Heck, maybe you even liked the game a bit. But a few months pass, you haven't played the game in a while, you uninstalled it because it was taking up room, and you thought, "I'll reinstall it if I ever want to play it again." So you get this odd urge to play a game on the high seas, sinking shipping and what not. You click the install button, wait a few, and you're off! Or, so you think. Uplay comes back and says, "Hi again! Please activate you're product by entering your product key to play!" Finding this strange since you already activated it once, you curiously do so. Copy and paste, and you're done. You reach for the OK button, you click. What happens? "Sorry ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! This key is already being used by another account! Please contact our AMAAAAAAAZING customer support for more information! Ha ha!"

P.S Get Silent Hunter 3.

Uplay does not let you play the game.
Bizarre solutions proposed by Ubi support, like uninstalling your antivirus or your OS, do not work.
Unsurprisngly, managed to played it with a no-cd.
Wish I'd never spent the 10 € for this.
Avoid it like the plague, you want to play it, just download it. You'll be able to experience more than the start screen.
