Load Game Failed - Help

I have never sucessfully loaded a saved game. Every attempt returns a "Load Game Failed" dialog box. I have reinstalled 3 times and no change?#

Has anyone else come across this?

I deleted my saved games from my UPlay folder on my hard drive. That solved a lot of similar problems. All saved games are automatically saved to UPlay online. The synchronization with those games and those on your hard drive is a problem. Deleting from hard drive helps.

I've tried deleting saved games and disable the synchronise function on Uplay but when the game starts it still seems to synchronise and my saved games re-appear. Is there something I'm missing?

I keep synchronize on now. My game doesn't drop off in the middle like before. When I save, I save on top of the autosave file. I still have a problem where my CO2 level keeps going up, and surface doesn't fix it. I reload my autosave when it gets high, and CO2 resets. (sigh). At least I can play.

I should mention I am using Magnum Opus mod.

Found what I was missing, Steam sticks the saves somewhere else, searched for "Oscar" (or Oskar, whichever it is) as the default name and hey-presto. Game works, woo hoo

Why look for Oscar? Is that your saved game name? Or a file set in SH5? I changed my settings and while the game ran before, now it goes blank after launch. Shoulda left settings alone and am trying to find all config files to delete to reset them.
