Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic

Silent Hunter 5, How to Fix Error code 1
I've had this game for a year or two now, and I've only been able to play it one time. After a while of playing the game it crashed and then everytime I tried to play it after the crash it says 'Ubisoft Game Launcher: Error code 1', so I did Some researching so here is how I solved this problem:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. First, you will need to uninstall the "Ubisoft Game Launcher" software from the 'Add/Remove
Programs' (Windows XP) / 'Installed Programs' (Windows Vista and 7) icon in your computer's control panel. It's possible that the "Ubisoft Game Launcher" software will not be listed if you have already uninstalled it, or the game. If so, you can skip this step.

2. After uninstalling the software, you will need to manually delete any leftover files in the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher (32-bit versions of Windows) or C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher (64-bit versions of Windows). Please do not skip this step, it is very important. If this folder does not exist, please go to the next step.

3. Reinstall the GameLauncher software from: http://static3.cdn.ubi.com/orbit/lau...rInstaller.exe. Once installed, you should be able to start the game!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope that solved your problem.

I just went to C drive/program files x86/Steam/steamapps/common/silent Hunter 5/redist/Gamelauncher.
then I ran as administrator. Now that is fixed but I have my old problem back. It says:

Ubisoft error.
Some Ubisoft service is unavaliable. Please try again later.

If anybody has a solution please reply

I know that this is pretty old, but I'm having the exact same problem... an endless loop of Update and "Incompatible" messages.

Did you ever find a solution to this issue?
