Issue with product key
I purchased this game back in 2010 and loved it! I reticently built a new desk top after my old one crashed on me and i wanted to play SH5 again. So, launched steam, downloaded the game, launched the game and it asked for a product key... copied the product key from what i had in stem and the Ubisoft club said that the product key was in use... I am assuming at some point in the past 6 years i made a new ubisoft club account? anyways, i removed copy of SH5 that i purchased in 2010 and i purchased it again in hopes that i would receive a new product key.. WRONG. After i purchased it again i have the exact same product key. wtf? so, long story short. what do i do?!?!?! I really want to play the game but im not sure what to do here. i have no issue with buying the game again but as of now i have just wasted my $10 buying the same game with the same product key. please help!

If i cant get a resolution to this, i would like steam to just refund me my $10 for the second purchasing and i will be on my merry way. PS: Steam REALLY needs a life chat room or a phone line... seriously.

You do know that you need a u-play account meanwhile too? Try downloading u-play and make an account there, than activate it with the steam key...

I am aware of this as i stated in my original post. I purchased the game a while back on my old U-play account that I cant remember the username, password or email i used for the life of me. I have a new U-Play account and have no issues with buying it again for only 10 like i have.... I purchased the game on steam again expecting a different product key but Steam gave me the exact same product key.

If steam would give me a new product key with my second purchase of the game and not give me the EXACT same product key again, it will solve my problem

Ah...so I misread it...

Edit: maybe there's a chance of contacting U-play/Ubisoft about the issue?

Key problem here to. Hit start after I copy key and next screen asks for key #. I enter it and am told it is not a valid number. I quit buying Steam games 4 yrs ago. No way to contact them with e-mail or phone. That way they get your money and say by-by.
