HELP PLEASE: "Error: missing command line parameter -prodid, see integration files for details"

First off, could someone tell me what the...heck that has to mean, in english?! So, here's the story: I downloaded "Silent Hunter 5" on my new computer [Windows 10] the other day and everything was "all right", or so I thought. I downloaded the Ubisoft Game launcher and everything went 'good'. After that was all done, I finally launched the game and the [Ubisoft] "updating launcher" popped up; then when it was 'all done' 'updating' it just went away [or it crashed before it finished 'updating' [I really don't know what 'happened']]. NOTES: while the [Ubisoft] "updating launcher" was 'updating', I pinned the [Ubisoft] launcher to my task bar; and I clicked it when nothing was happening to the thing and it said, "Error: missing command line parameter -prodid, see integration files for details". Please help me it you can!

This game uses an obsolete and discontinued DRM service which isnt compatible with the new Uplay required to play, its possible Ubisoft has shut down the DRM servers too, it does not save progression in the game as the DRM is nonfunctional, you cannot play this game even if you get it to start.


If you can, request a refund.
