Wolves Of Steel Steam Version

Heads up for anyone still playing the steam version, there is now an updated WoS installer (still in testing) that is compatible with Steam.

Of course this happens right after I bought a copy off Amazon in order to use WoS properly. Hope this is useful to some Steam users.

Tried repeatedly, and with followring the convoluted install. No luck. Multiple D/L and re-install. Gave up to reinstall one final time and run Vanilla.

edit = yeah i know. its not so much nortons fault, its only showing 5 other norton users, thats probably why its a false +.

also note - microsoft smartscreen filter warns you to not run the mod archiver either.

just letting others know.

malwarebytes shows its clean, which i figured

it appears to have installed ok thanks. should probably sticky this.

Thats great news but ive been running WoS on steam version for the last 2 years. Dont ask me how i did it but it works perfectly....well with a bit of tinkering.

Yeah it has always been possible, but definitely not an easy process before.

Did not work for me, Spent an entire hour following the instruction.. took my time.. but in the end when I tried to finaly start the game with WoS, it came up with a platform error and closed..

Too much work to try and get an old game to function properly.. refunded

Is there an alternative location to grab this mod, or any that isn't via subsim? I registered there yesterday but still haven't gotten the ability to download anything nor a message that I can even post in its forums.

I got banned just for signing up just to download, the sites ♥♥♥♥. I'm looking for a place thats actualyl functional to get mods also. Or maybe somewhere to get some modding tools or information?

I've had this mod installed for a few weeks now and it works great with my steam install. This is a must have for anyone who is serious about sims.
