Recent Ubisoft patch has broken The Wolves of Steel megamod.

For those who only have SH5 available as a download from Ubisoft (in other words, don't have the original DVD or purchased SH5 here on Steam), then a recent Uplay patch has broken the Wolves of Steel megamod. The vanilla version is still working when downloaded from Uplay.
I would be interested to know if anyone is still able to play the Steam version (which seems to have escaped this small patch update) with the Wolves of Steel ver 2.2.16

I've clean-installed SH5 & tWoS yesterday and it's seems working. Had some problems with "Ubisoft service is currently unavailable", but after installing uplay-launcher from their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ site, all problems gone.

Just completed a new install with tWoS. Appears it affected the Sh5.exe file with Steam. It proceeded to auto update with Steam and started up fine, afterwards. GL

There has been a Steam update a few days ago (around 550mb), has this affected TWoS megamod at all?

An ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reply from Ubisoft has recently acknowledged the existence of SH5 modding and has taken steps to eradicate this practice after nine years of these confounded folk, who will keep on modding the original game, as it is a buggy mess and not worth the asking price.

Thx. I found a workaround with the original DVD and TWOS 2.2.16. It is described on the SH5 forum of subsim.com
