Patch for silent hunter 5

Where does steam put the C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5 directory on my computer so that I can upload the 2.2 patch for the game?

The patch and mods are suppose to make it more playable and realistic. Right now with this new version and the steam setup, I can't even find a decent keyboard command overlay such as was possible with SH3.

Oh i see, why do we have to manually install it? I thought it does those things by itself on steam.

Does it? I wouldn't expect Steam to update the game. Sell the game and take the money appears to be their moto. There are about 50 mods that make the game run according to history and physics that I don't believe Steam had the insight to put in. I just bought Witcher series and the damn game isn't even play in English and the start graphics. there are there no labels. You would think Steam would test the games they sell to make sure the are playing optimately before they sell them, so I wouldn't count on Steam to have fixed SH5 either.

I run SH5 on vanilla in compatibility mode with windows 8, what mods do you think I could get to make it run better or have better gameplay experience?

https://steamcommunity.com/app/48110/discussions/0/610573567802445959/ . Do you know where to put mods if you're using SH5? If you do I sure would appreciate knowing where to load these and the 2.2 update. The update of the game is on Subsim.com and called Wolves of Steel vers. 2.2.
