Call of the Haunted Glitch?
I've having this weird issue where Call of the Haunted stays on the field without the summoned monster if I send it to the graveyard via tributing it.

Workes like intendet, Tribut is not destruction.
Rules:
A card is destroyed when it is sent to the Graveyard due to battle between monsters or by an effect that destroys a card. A card that is returned from the field to the hand or Deck, or, that is sent to the Graveyard as a cost or Tribute, is NOT considered “destroyed.”

I'm not seeing any ruling it works that way

I'm only seeing it remaining on the field uselessly if the monster is flipped upside down by a card effect and that breaks the connection.

What i have posted is the official basic rule fromn Konami how cards work, not a special one bound to Call of the Haunted.
Call of the Haunted is a continued trap card that stay on the field all the time.
The special is, it get destroyed when the monster who got revived is destroyed.
Tribute is not a destruction, so the special effect does not come into effect.

If you don't believe me, read it yourself:

It says on the text, "When that target is destroyed, destroy this card." Your monster was not destroyed so the Call of the Haunted isn't destroyed either.

Correct; a tribute (or synchro, xyz, etc) does not count as destruction, thus the card stays on the field. Same thing applies to Spellbinding Circle.

It's okay, reading cards is hard,

If it says "Destroyed" then was it destoryed? Notice when playing this game when you destroy something it shatters and when you "Send it to the graveyard" like with Number 50: Blackship of Corn. It doesn't shatter it just simply moves it from one place to another. Or when tribute summoning it has a diffrent animation. It's to teach you the diffrences of the card rulings. Card specifics is what you should pay attention to.
