For example: card of sanctity does NOT let all players draw until they have 5 cards in their hands.
What shiki said is only the half truth. Although Obelisk can't be targeted, he can still be destroyed by some measily mirror force because mirror force does not target. None of the god cards have any destruction negation and as long as you have some card to destroy them, you can and will be able to do so.
Remember: Anime =/= Real life card game.
Yes. It's an Egyptian God. That's the point. Nobody says you have to use them, but I remember in the anime that the Winged Dragon of Ra was an incredibly powerful monster. It was by far the most powerful Egyptian God card. Now if I give 7900 life points, I better get a powerful monster. Not one that can be easily destroyed like any other monster. In the video game, you're not playing against anyone, so what's the problem with doing that. It makes the story of the campain more like the anime.
Again. In the video game campaign, when I'm not playing against anyone, why can't I feel the full power of the Winged Dragon of Ra. It wouldn't be OP unless you had a ton of lifepoints. If you were losing and then summoned the Winged Dragon of Ra, you wouldn't have as many lifepoints to feed it. IT"S AN EGYPTIAN GOD CARD! It's not a normal monster. It shouldn't feel like wielding a normal monster. The Winged Dragon of Ra should be an incredibly strong card and if you think it's OP, don't use it. Why can't I play the game as Yami Marik though and have a monster that's incredibly hard to summon, that won't be destroyed next turn.
(this is joke)
Well, I had read on Obelisk's card that he couldn't be destroyed certain ways so I just figured that applied to The Winged Dragon of Ra (who's supposed to be stronger than Obelisk). Again, if you're making a card game with a campaign that lets you play the battles that were in the anime, why does it not apply the same rules. Oh wait, that would make the game fun and hard and people don't understand that there's a concept called dangerous fun. Yami Marik should be a really tough duelist because of the Winged Dragon of Ra. I should have a hard time defeating him. They completely screwed up that card if it can be destroyed like any other monster. They've actually made it into one of the worst cards ever if that's the case. An Egyptian God card that's one of the worst cards ever.
Yeah i know it's not what you expected but it's the only thing i can think of that sort of fits your criteria of the gods maintaining 'god' status.
I want a GOD card that's as powerful as my mind

Aside from duels starting with both players having 4000 LP (in most cases, sometimes exceptions are applied), they pretty much follow all the rules now.
