What DLCs are worth getting?

Really none of it is "WORTH" getting, but theyre nice to have and fun to use when youve got money to burn. Most people will tell you not to get them simply because they don't operate on the expendables funds to have them but if YOU do there's no harm. It is true that you can build plenty of strong decks from all the base cards in the game but the but there are some support cards that are exclusive to DLC decks for WHATEVER reason for some themes you may want to run. The Dinomist and Majespecter decks plow through through campaign. If you want Xyz support, buy the dark mist saga, for fusion support cards the base game is missing, buy Sora vs Dipper.

Why don't you pick one you like using instead of asking what dlcs are a must? There's always going to be that 1 deck that most players prefer or at top so instead of following our advice, play a deck that you want to use. Like you suggested, if u wanted mask heros, get masked heros. I can argue a deck like... dinos or kozmos will beat it but the question is, are you now going to get dinos or kozmos?

Truthfully speaking if this is just for campaign, don't bother with dlc, campaign is mad ez. If it's for online play, again, pick the deck you like playing and don't go hard thinking about the meta.

Do some research on the cards you are looking for here at this link before you buy.

I do not believe this to be 100% true in all of the dlc. I know in most, the cards you get are NOT in the base game and this is the only way to obtain them, but if memory serves (though I easily could remember incorrectly) there are so DLC that have cards that ARE in the base game. However, I think this fact holds true regardless; in every DLC, they have cards that are not in the base game. You best bet is to do research in what you want to build or what seems fun and buy that DLC, which is what I did with the DLC I bought for myself. There are no DLC that are worth getting, if is all base on what you want. So I agree with what most people have said, it is only worth it if there are cards from the DLC that you want.

So for your question, just take the answer as a yes, cards from DLC are not in the base game. In terms of the discussion question, only DLC that are worth getting are the ones that have cards you want.

I, so far, only own the Duelist Kingdom DLC. That one was a MUST for me, because I love the Chaos cards. The next one imma going for is either Joey or Yugi's Path. Whichever one has the Seal of Orichalchos.
