Special Summoning from Extra Deck glitch? (SOLVED)

For context, I'm running a level 2 beast deck with monsters like Ponpoko, Tantan, Valerifawn, Wind-Up kitten, Cerburrel, etc.
The problem is, I'll have Ponpoko, Tantan, Valeri, and Cerburrel face up on the field, but the only special summon from my extra deck the game will allow me is for Number 64: Sandayu. In this situation, it should allow my Daigusto Pheonix, Gachi Gachi, and even some of the Synchro monsters in my extra deck.
Later in the duel though, it lets me summon those other monsters. However, it feels totally random as to when it will let me do it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Did you use Ponpoko's effect? If you did, you can only Special Summon Beast-Type monsters during that turn.

Have you activated any card that limits your special summons? Like only being able to summon Beast monsters, or Raidraptors, or Dark-type monsters?

I bet you're completely right because that's what happened.

Turns out I was acting a fool and didn't read my card effects propely. I'll leave this thread here in case anyone manages to be as foolish as I am.

No no it can happen to any player really, this such as "you can" "when" are crucially important card text because it states an action MUST or CAN be done, sometimes the card lore is ominous and they revised many card for this reason, removed from play became banished etc. Don't feel silly alright :)
