Killing a God

So, if you ever face Bandit Keith, do NOT use any god cards, especially Obelisk. I got completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ because I thought nothing could kill him except for like, Black Hole and by being overpowered. Well, boy was I wrong. I attacked a face-down card and it was blast sphere. I thought, "Surely that cant kill Obelisk because it specifically says he can't be targeted by card effects." Well, after the end of my next turn, he was killed by Blast Sphere...

I don't think it's a reason to not use them, but it is an interesting observation. I guess equip doesn't target? Research is needed.

Usually equips do target. If I´m not mistaken it´s different with Blast Sphere because it is still an effect monster while it´s flipped and is treated as a spell AFTER it equipped.

Well I say don't use them because he has a few copies of several cards.

But either way. spells and traps do not affect Obelisk, either.

I looked it up. Effect monsters like Blast Sphere don´t target at the moment they are flipped, they start targeting after they equip to the monster. That´s why they can equip to Obelisk.
