I cast the spell, then i discard a card but once the game displays my discard pile there is nothing to click on. Cant red X out, escape does nothing, cant discard or pick any of the cards.
Highly recommend everyone avoiding having this card in thier deck as it WILL break the game, and because there is no save feature you will lose all your time that you had inside of that one game.
Can they not add a cancel to this spell like the others or fix this bug so it wont break the game?
Fixing the red X would be the easiest way of fixing this, or at least I would assume it would be.
Now to ctrl-alt-delete and force the game to close and lose the last hour of game play
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We'll investigate the bug and look into it.
Thanks!
Force closing the game with alt+f4 and choosing to continue was just bringing me back to the bugged mending helm choice, and since it completely brokes the game there was nothing I could do there, so I was starting to accept the possibility of having to start from scratch.
BUT, BUT! I force closed the game, deleted the party I had been playing with, and remade the party with the existing characters I was using, just to see if it would save me, AND IT WORKED.
No, the bug was not gone, BUT the adventure I was at was reset, nothing was lost aside from the adventure progression.
SO if you ever come across this bug because you didn't know about it, don't lose your cool. Force close the game with alt+f4, delete the party you were using, and remake the party, using previously existing characters that were used on the party, and choose to start a new game. It will start the game at the adventure you got the bug.
Hope this can help others that have the same problem we had.
And as others said before me: Best tip is to sell EACH AND EVERY SINGLE DAMN COPY OF THE HELM AND NEVER USING IT!
Hope you all have fun playing.
No excuse this is not fixed at this point.
-UPDATE-
If you find yourself in this situation, alt+f4 as a previous posted said, HOWEVER -- DO NOT DELETE YOUR PARTY. Resume the game and see if you can 'mend' your item. When I clicked continue on my game it brought me right back to the mend action, but this time I could drag a card into my hand.
