For radiation, either make anti-rads (only uses organic materials) or throw a recycler grenade to destroy the leaking container.
Some of the hull breaches will be part of sidequests later. Just be aware of one thing: there will be a certain stretch of the game where outside access is limited. If you reach that part, I advise you to continue the story until you can freely explore again.
I found a hull breached that I somehow missed outside the Hardware Labs. It got several spare parts floating around, a safe that needed Hacking 3 (Which I have) to unlock, and a body with a neuromod and a transcribe and keycard floating in it.
I found two more in the crew quarters. One of them is irradiated so I avoided it but the other one got some really neat goodies in it! The breach got several pods floating outside. One of the pods that belongs to Lily Morris got a neuromod. Inside the breach is guarded by two hostile robots. A chipset can be found in one of the pods. There is also some neat stuff in the med room and a medical operator dispenser!
After that, I braved my way into the second hull breach in crew quarters where I fought this big guy and his small minions. HOLY SPIT! I found a Q-beam ammo blueprint! And a chipset guarded by this weird thingie on the ground that spews balls that floats and explodes!
All of these neat stuff and I haven't even watched the video in Morgan's office!
Another chipset is found on a body near the top right of the transtar billboard. found on the right of the Shuttle Bay. After interacting with the console, I discovered a message. WTF! NO WAY!
Are there more stuff that I can find outside? Any more maintenance hatches?
Is Hardware Labs and Talos Exterior the only areas that I can visit early before checking the video?
This game is so neat!
IIRC, the only parts that are gated behind story completion are:
- part of G.U.T.S.
- crew quarters
- reactor room
- deep storage
- most of Cargo Bay
You can access everything else with alternative approaches, usually Hacking. There are very few doors that can only be opened with keycards.
Where? I checked everywhere! The door the shuttle bay is locked. The elevators towards the upper part needs fixing. The door to psycho-whatever needs a code, the airlocks outside are locked from the inside.
Did I missed anything? I'm currently at the part where I need to go to the office to watch a video.
Try to do the story missions until an NPC tells you about the airlocks (you have to open them from the inside) and the main lift (that elevator in the Lobby).
Not sure if you can meet Mikhalia before a quest or not.
Likely 80% of the station can be explored even without any primary story quest.
Few things are locked by the Story.
Almost everything can be accessed in multiple ways but there are a few places that can only be entered by a single skill eg. Mimic matter, hacking, repair, and Leverage.
There are a few safes that have neuromods that can only be gotten by hacking so its effective neuromod cost is very low.
Can anyone here just tell me the stuff that I haven't found yet? I read that there are two hatches found in the central part of the ship. The problem is I can't determine the "central" part.
Neuromod Division maintenance area - 1 Neuromod
Lobby maintenance area(where the Q-beam body is) - 1 Neuromod
Deep Storage maintenance area - 1 Neuromod
Hardware Labs maintenance area(I don't think it has a hatch, it's just blown open) - on top of Hardware Labs, misc stuff
Comm Array - bottom of station, indicated by blue light, misc stuff
Power Plant - "built in" between two station elements
Everything else is part of a side/main mission so you'll get a tracker for it.
A maintenance hatch can be found near the corpse with the Q-beam.
Inside is a supply locker.
I didn't noticed it during my first time because I was focused on the coral and the robots.
That's the one!
