Awkward ride home

I just finished the game with the intention of unlocking awkward ride home. But when i finished the end screen told me i had saved 5 humans despite killing sarah and all the other survivors including alex and iqwe. IS this because i have to kill the 4 mind controlled people in the lobby?

Adding to this i currently have 28 humans killed right before entering the shuttle

In this guide TS had added Dahl by mistake at his akward ride home hitlist, so it is 41 kills needed: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1320394700

I have read online that Dahl betrays you even if you kill every other survivor. Can i still get the achivement if i kill everyone without demodding dahl?

Kill everyone (Dahl too) = i and it achievement
Kill everyone except Dahl (but wipe his memories with the help from Igwe and then kill Igwe) and step on shuttle with Dahl = Awkward ride home achievement.

how is it possible to kill everybody while still demodding dahl? don't you softlock yourself if you kill Sarah and the other survivors before demodding him?

A bit low, you did missed a few. For example: the fitnesscentre where the gaspipes are leaking and set humans on fire will not count as a kill thanks to your actions. You should enter the fitnesscentre as fast as you can and gloo the leaking pipes and kill everyone without let their heads exploding. This is a hard part from the game but it is possible as i did myself, you need to save after every progress and look in your stats if a kill did count and otherwise replay that part. 28 is really too low since you should have around 40 at the end of the game.

So to get awkward ride home i should actually have killed everybody myself. It doesn't matter that they got killed by gas leaks or other reasons and will still count as saved despite being dead? or am i misunderstanding you?

No, Dahl will be enthousiac when he noticing you are killing everyone. It is his job but you are doing it for him. Hell, he even give you location of 4 more humans which are hidden themself and demand you kill those 4 too for him to "show your initiative" to him. Even after the wipe, he dont care about killing whoever since he is soldier and killer and say: you should have your reasons, i dont care.

Sidenote: dont kill Sarah (and her friends) when Igwe is around, do it at a much later moment when Igwe is in your office for example. Also dont kill Mikjialah (difficult name) when Igwe is around. He may not be aware of any humankilling at all.

Quick update. Finally got it, i was a tad confused since the wiki stated that you'd had to have 36 human kills for Dahl to give you the mission to kill 4 additional crew members but i still triggered despite me having only 35. Guess it's a typo on the wiki. Thanks to those who were answering my (dumb?) questions. There's an award heading your way ;)

Now i just need to complete the game without using neuromods and i will have all achivements!

Well, then Lar Dass was right about the 35 kills.

And congratz with the achievement. From all achievements I dislike the noneedles cheevo, you are weak/slow/inventoryshortage/weaponsdamage is low. Hope you will enjoying it more than i did.
