With Microsoft's acquisition of Zenimax, I can see them being even more risk-averse, so I don't think a sequel will eventuate, and if it does, would be watered-down to capture that larger market the first missed.
Its so sad knowing that the FULL GAME was playable from start to finish back then. The dark Blade Runner esque atmosphere is incredible. If its not for an official release they have to drop the files to the community so they can make this damn Prey 2. It's a shame!!!
"Did I ever tell you kids about the best game ever made"
"Yes grandpa, we've heard about Chris Rhinehart's fully playable 'almost alpha' a thousand times, come on, it's time for your medication"
"It was way better than Cyberpunk 2077, you know"
"Yes grandpa"
Man, that guy was hilarious
it seems a sequel wont be out then, that or they are back in the studio amidst the pitfall
As far as I know, during the litigation between Microsoft and Sony, information was leaked from the submitted documents that Microsoft was going to release Prey 2 and Dishonord 3 (and something else, cant remember). The only question is when, and at what stage the development is currently underway
