since it was recently revealed that dishonored and deathloop are in the same universe it is possible that prey is also somewhat in the same universe (since there are references in both games) so its possible a new prey does come out but nobody knows when. if redfall does well then i guarantee a prey sequel will release

Huh, I'm glad you brought up Redfall because it made me look at it again. At first I thought it was another linear short mission game like L4D and didnt have any interest in YET ANOTHER iteration of that. I suppose I need to watch it closer now, that price tag though...

please make another prey this game was astounding for being a first person shooter and one i'd play anytime, the style of play was amazing and being able to recycle things was truely a nice adding to the top. I really hope another comes to fruition because everything in this game amazed me

Prey seemed very much Raphaël Colantonio's passion project, and with his departure, his swan song; so I have doubts that a sequel would live up to the first, particularly since it was very much a niche product to begin with -- Colantonio talks about marketability in this interview (from 1:40):

With Microsoft's acquisition of Zenimax, I can see them being even more risk-averse, so I don't think a sequel will eventuate, and if it does, would be watered-down to capture that larger market the first missed.

It's such a shame that they destroyed a full playable game that looked more innovative than Cyberpunk 2077 today. It was such a brilliant idea!!!!!
Its so sad knowing that the FULL GAME was playable from start to finish back then. The dark Blade Runner esque atmosphere is incredible. If its not for an official release they have to drop the files to the community so they can make this damn Prey 2. It's a shame!!!

As far as I know, during the litigation between Microsoft and Sony, information was leaked from the submitted documents that Microsoft was going to release Prey 2 and Dishonord 3 (and something else, cant remember). The only question is when, and at what stage the development is currently underway

prey 2 wasnt part of the leak, it was dishonored 3

Also wasn't the leak circa-Youngblood information? Chances are after Youngblood and Redfall that Arkane is being put on palliative care (and Roundhouse Studios for that matter, but that won't stop people from bringing up the Human Head "game")
