Any way to change crosshair placement?

I really enjoy this game, but the crosshair being placed towards the bottom of the screen is starting to give me a literal headache, like it messes with my mind, it's why I can only play Halo on the Master Chief Collection and I couldn't finish the Citadel

For a lot of people this can make playing the game feel strange. Luckily, the fix is easy. Just follow the steps below.

1. Navigate to \Steam\steamapps\common\Prey\GameSDK

2. Open game.cfg

3. Delete the line that says "g_reticleYPercentage = 0.575" (Without quotes, should be on line 38)

4. Save the file and make it Read Only

This is actually fantastic, thank you! I can see how some people think it's strange, especially if they're used to the old placement, and not every weapon has been tweaked appropriately, the Q-beam laser-thing for example still fires where the crosshair used to be, but the bullet weapons all seem to have been adjusted accordingly.

my problem with the crosshair is twofold:

1. if you change it to "dot" the game doesn't show you only a dot but something around it too, which sucks

2. my dmg workhorse is the shotgun and after the fix the crosshair is way above the muzzle of the shotgun

great if this helped, i will play without it =)
