[Spoilers] 'It Gets Worse' bug

This is one that's been floating around for awhile that seems to have alot of players stumped. During the character quest 'It Gets Worse', you are poisoned and are given the choice of finding a cure, or blowing up the escape pod. Twice I have gotten the cure, and twice has the animation played, and twice has the 'Poisoned' timer still kept ticking down to my inevitable death.

For those of you who will ask, no, I do NOT have the Care4Yu mod installed which has been giving some people grief, nor do I have the patience to start a new run, and try and run out of the room to avoid the poison in the first place.

Has anyone else figured out a fix for this bug? Because I -know- I'm not alone and perma-stuck from progression

Gatting the curse Will not stop the timer. You need to hurry back to top level of crew quarter. From the grav shaft the first computer you see the password is green and choose option to destroy the escape pod and the timer will stop and it is done .

I have all achievements except noneedles, so I am pretty sure how to do.

I think it is not a timer about how much time you have before the poison killing you, it is a timer to show you how much time you have to stop her from escaping.

Take a look at your objectives when you get your cure, there must be something as stop her from escaping or something like that.

I should mention, in both attempts I destroyed the pod AFTER taking the cure, once from my inventory, and once directly from the container it was in. Completing the objective to deal with the pod never changed the fact my life was ticking away and killed me when it reached zero.

Forgot about the cure since thats not the solutlion, let us talk about the top level of crew quarters. Did you have a conversation with the custodian? Did you see the pod explode through the window? Did you see in left upper corner a popup with "it gets worse" objective complete?

To repeat my self, I've done it all. Exploded the pod, it crash lands, Poisoned timer still ticks down to my death. Custodian never unlocks.

To repeat myself, it is not poison timer but stop the escape timer.

(Necroposting) It's bugged, can't understand why people don't go back to school and learn to read.
When you inject yourself with the antidote the timer runs out anyway, it doesn't get cancelled. It's a bug they never fixed and is also game breaking cause sometimes it makes your game stuck when your character dies.
However it is random, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, sadly.
