Mooncrash Crashes to Desktop randomly
After playing a couple of hours this has started repeatedly happening to me. I'm playing with the security guy right now and I can't properly complete the run because it keeps crashing with error:

"Attempt to read data from address 0x0000000000000000"

It always sets me back to the last autosave which can mean A LOT! I already verified game file integrity. How do I fix this?

I just started a playthrough (non-mooncrash) after not playing the game for almost a year. Have had the same error and crash 3 times now. I'm hoping someone else has answers for us both.

seems like an old problem considering the google results. no real solution out there.

When I first started playing Mooncrash a while back I was getting the same random crashes and gave up. As of this past weekend, I've gone back and finished it. Found out my scroll wheel/middle mouse button that called up the weapon/powers quick-menu is what causes the crash for me so I just had to go into the main inventory menu to change my weapon and avoid using any powers as much as possible. When I suspected I was going to need to use that quick-menu I would use the Save & Exit + Confirm (not return to Desktop) then just Continue right back into the game so I wouldn't lose too much time if the quick-menu caused the game to crash which was still random as sometimes the quick-menu would pop up and other times the game would just crash to desktop with that Attempt to Read error listed above. Also, I disabled the Steam Cloud feature so when the game did crash it didn't take me 10 minutes waiting for the cloud sync to happen before I could load the game back up.

Yep, Mooncrash wasn't patched well. It crashed for me usually when I change location. Not every time though. The only one advice is to save your game frequently, especially before you're going to change location. I know this is hard as there is no save&continue button, but you still can adapt. Also you may wait for Denuvo removal. Unlikely it would repair CTDs, but who knows...
