Stuck in reactor room?

Making this topic for a friend because otherwise he is going to drop the game.

Heres our message log:
"I got frustrated with Prey. There's a part of the game where you need to get two keys to activate the reactor. Problem is, if you get to a certain part of the game, Alex Yu locks out the lift and all the airlocks, making the rest of the station inaccessible. The game does this, even though I have neither key. I don't know how to proceed, I've combed over the parts of the station I have access to, but I appear to be stuck. It was fun while it lasted."

"The video doesn't resolve my issue. For one thing, I haven't activated the reactor like in the video. I have access to areas surrounding the reactor room. I don not have access to most of the station, though. Like I said, Alex locked out all the airlocks, so I can't access other areas of the station by space walking. He's also locked out the elevator, so I can't use that to access the rest of the station."

Its been a while since I played, anyone know what the issue is here?

Its been a while since I played, anyone know what the issue is here?

I don't want to spoil you, but this is supposed to happen. You should have an update on your main quest. Can you tell me the name of your main quest? It changes with the various objectives and it will help me identify which step you should take next.

I know I'm late, but maybe this might help other people.

Yes, after that phase most access points to Talos I will be locked. But if you go to Cargo Bay section, you'll find there's an open access there (you might have to use the computer that handles the containers; it's on a balcony on the right).
After you finish this section objectives, you can proceed to Life Support and then Power Plant, where you'll be able to reboot the Reactor: this unlocks the whole station.
