Split Affinity
I played the first time without any typhon powers as initially I didn't want to deal with angry turrets but after a while found I was really doing fine and decided to stick it out as pure human just to see if it impacted anything.

Having finished the game now and looking thru achievements - I see i've missed quite a lot of them from doing various things with typhon powers, but theres also one for only getting typhon powers - is it possible to do this in NG+ in my situation? Or does the fact I have human powers (even if from a previous game cycle) void me right off the bat?

I just don't particularly want to have to deal with limited inventory, as well as whatever other quality of life things I had, bonus materials gained, the D&D chipset reward etc. I really do want to play the game using typhon powers as they look quite fun actually - but not sure if I should start a brand new game, with zero neuromods at all or if I can ng+ my typhon run.

Cheers :)

ps semi sacred geometry from the credits is an absolute banger and has no right being so damn catchy.

Alright thanks, I was just posting in the offchance someone had the same kinda niche situation I wound up in.

My main issue was that I wanted to have another long and slow playthrough properly messing around and having fun with the typhon powers, but not a pathetically small and annoying inventory.

I started a fresh run just to see how fast / easy it would be to essentially mainline blitz through the campaign doing a no needles run, as from what I read - if i do a no needles run, complete the game, then reload a late game save and pick a typhon power - I should get the no needles achievement for the first run and then the split affinity for the second.

Not ideal - as i'm essentially just treading water at the minute before i can 'play for fun', but given I want to get the achievements it seems like the most efficient / sensible way of doing so. I'll then go into NG+ using my original first human only and enjoy the game fully with typhon powers :D

*edit*
Blasted through the critical path in about 6 hours, got no needles achiev, then reloaded prior to detonation @ the bridge, installed a couple random typhon powers the finished and got Split Affinity :) (as well as the first typhon power achievement lol...)

There are many people in same situation as you as you would notice when using search.

yeah or just switch to easy, the game is less stealthy and play more like regular bioshock. I just finished my typhon run like that, was funny.

Yeah, i did do it on easy just to get it over with quicker, I also went and found that guy out in space who has the suit chip to give you a better jetpack jump thing, so I spent most of the game just zipping past enemies and was already gone when they realised I was there lol.

It would be weird not spending any neuromods until you reach further into the game, and with such limited inventory and slots, not being able to hack or repair. I would say the human abilities are more essential than the typhon.
