Prey
Hacking worth it?
So I just started this game and I need to know is hacking good skill to invest or is it like in Deus EX MD where you get so many multitools and you'll find password near the computers making hacking skill totally waste of skillpoints.

I'm playing on hard so it's not too easy. I already upgrated my hacking to 3.

When you first start the game, hacking has limited utility; however, as the game progresses it becomes a lot more useful. To get the maximum use out of it, you'll want to make use of stealth to hijack operators.

I am at a point where I wish I would have learned hacking or repair more because you need to either fix something or hack a door to get farther stuck making neuromods

Repair certainly helps as it makes your repair kits go a lot farther. There aren't many things you need to repair but there are a few if you are a completionist. I ended up maxing these.

Also, take the neuromod that allows you to harvest typhon organ material. If you do, you won't have issues on the typhon material side of things. I don't regret getting it.

Hacking and Repair both come in a lot of handy. They have steep price tags in neuromods to get to the highest ranks, and plenty of players would tell you to max one or the other and they're probably right, but I maxed out both on my first playthrough and didn't regret it. Repair comes in handy fixing and fortifying turrets and operators, as well as for stretching out your repair kits over the course of the game. Hacking comes in handy too though, to hack hostile machines, scrambled locks (With the keypads disabled) and safes/terminals that you don't want to do a bunch more poking around to find the password to. They're not really REQUIRED, but definitely worth grabbing.

Just finished the game 50 hours maxing all the humal skills, hacking was worth it, but repair 3 is kind of pointless if you dont play with the breaking guns options.

Me too. I really appreciated having Hacking IV in some point of the run haha.

Its always worth it to get Hacking 2, unless you doing no needles or a typhon only run (or otherwise want to play a non-hacker)

Hacking 2 is cheap: Hacking 1 only costs 1 mod, Hacking 2 pays for itself, because you recover the 4 neuromods it costs by hacking the safe in the Psychotronics lobby.

Beyond that is really player preference.

I dont think it is easy - to steer the ball with left hand - and not in a smooth way - it moves fast and a lot and bumps in everything (if slow you runs out of time) - how can that be easy?

its one of the easiest hacking minigames in a game i have ever played, i only failed once on all 4 playthroughs and that was only to see what would happen if i failed (spoiler alert: you get hurt a little thats it)

I have played a few mini hacking games and this one is too precise, sure some are dead easy, but others are not. Bioshock hacking was a lot easier than this, and lockpicking in F4 is super simple and so was terminal hacking. It might be because I am using K/B, not sure what its like with a controller.
