Try something with that, it most probably could be something interfering....
@Cataleya22 - Not sure I understand what you mean... If you're asking if I have other programs running, then no - after the first freeze, I made sure everything but steam and prey were closed...
It could help to tell us what specifics of the system you're running on......
Oh i don't mind lol, my pc is from 2011....
Older pc's are actually better suited since they are from the same time span. I also had two newer laptops, but they died on me. Still they did work with the program, and if not i started looking for solutions.
Cause still anything can cause an interference... It can even be a small thing you never thought off... It can be a puzzle sometimes...
And to be on a distance to ascertain that's even more a challenge (i could tell stories be about that from work experience). I have even an audio interface integrated with it, which took me several days to get to work
Every situation is different, so all the bits to know can help.
Still no guarantee, though lol
Not a god-tier PC, but not Potato, either.
Win 10 64b
CPU AMD FX-8350 8 core 4.0GHz
RAM 32GB
GPU AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
MOBO ASRock 970A-G/3.1
The AMD processor is one of the crappy ones that's really only 4 full cores, and 4 partial cores (so to speak), that AMD got sued for a few years back... unfortunately I picked it up before the issues were broadly known. MOBO also needs updating - those two are my next buys...
The few times I've had overheating on a previous laptop, it's caused instant crash to power-down, requiring restart. This is just a frozen image, with audio still continuing, and the rest of the computer accessible (if slow, while CPU spikes to 100%, when it had been down under 50% previously)
