Motion blur
Tried editing game.cfg and adding the "r_motionblur = 0" line, but it seemed to do nothing. Is there anything else I can do?
On another note - who the ♥♥♥♥ actually LIKES motion blur as a feature? Why the ♥♥♥♥ is it shoehorned in as a "feature", especially as one that can't be easily disabled??

It's less noticeable than I thought it would be... I guess because it's often more slow paced, and combat is a literal panicky blur in general at this point in the game for me

Did you get it fixed? It seems to work differently on Steam and Game Pass version.

From PC Gaming Wiki:

Disable motion blur

1. Go to <path-to-game>.
2. Create a file called autoexec.cfg and open it with a text editor like Notepad.
3. Add the line r_MotionBlur = 0 and save the file.

I tried that and it didn't seem to work, but I've just learned to ignore it now

Weird. Are you sure it's in the right folder? Like this:
"...\steamapps\common\Prey\autoexec.cfg"

Yes

Go to %yourusername%-Saved Games-Arkane Studios-Prey and open game.cfg.
Add r_MotionBlur = 0 line to the bottom, save it and make game.cfg read-only.

can try adding the same line to system.cfg in your Prey main folder (steamapps/common/Prey).

This game has all kinds of settings not in-game you can change in game.cfg and system.cfg, but it's not well documented.

You created a file called "autoexec.cfg" in the game directory, and put "r_MotionBlur = 0" in it? That has worked 100% across 3 different PCs and two different operating systems i've played the game on.
