Why is the one greater mimic changing to your family photo?

Is there any reason it does so, or is just for scaring you? Since Doom Eternal it is pretty obvious, that Arkane is working on a second part. And I really love all of their games I know, at least.
Either they made this picture thing for the second game, or I am missing something.

since doom eternal?? did they add something about a prey 2 into that?

When Doom Eternal came out, it was easy to find. Since all Google Data Policies it has may changed some stuff looking for it, so I have to make an own picture. I'll do it of course.

Its just an easter egg alluding to minics, not hinting at prey 2. I believe arkane enjoy referencing their other franchises in their games

Yeah Ubisoft does that all the time in their games. Well at least in division and division 2.
I wouldn't say "it's pretty obvious" just because someone found it.....
We'll just have to wait it out
