the more people that submit their saves, the better chance of the devs fixing this.
I;ve not got that far yet, so not encountered this bug. the devs are aware of it, but need saves to reproduce and do a fix. But I seen no mention on when this bug is going to be fixed. The game still has some annoying bugs in it.
Hope they fix it soon. I just don't want to continue like this. I can live without those 2 weapons but if those weapons will continue disappearing it will get super frustrating.
Also the item you lose is random, try rearranging the items in your inventory and quicksave before using the area transit. I just relaoded till i lost only some unimportant item like food or similar. Not elegant but at least you dont lose something important that way.
Hmm I will try messing around with items a bit more. Thanks.
What you need to do is to rearrange items in your inventory to see in what configuration the game eats something useless. I did hard save before exit from Crew Quarters and also quick-save. Rearranged my inventory, entered Arboretum and checked what item I lost. If it did not work out, I quick-loaded the game and tried different configuration. What worked for me was to leave empty inventory space between weapons until I was able to arrange my inventory in a way that a stack of soda was eaten instead of my highly upgraded stun gun.
Good news is that once you get past this point, you should not encounter same issue again, at least I did not as a human-only neuromods character.
Really annoying. I don't understand why it is such a great problem to the devs to find a solution for such a long time. They have several explanations and descriptions of more then one person. You can easily recreate the bug. Imo they should have gotten enough savefiles from players to find the problem in the code.
Frankly i'm not sure that they are really working on it. Only to solve the problem for a "few" players who already have paid the game and don't want to use your described workaround? And how many people are really playing till that point in the game. Nowadays a lot of players don't play a game more then 20 hours. Till that point i have found no other bugs.
So again i'm not sure that the problem will be solved in the near future.
After messing around with the inventory for half an hour, I managed to get away with losing nothing. But looks like effected slot is completely random.
