Why is the game so difficult on Easy?
Why? it should be able to be played by a child or a mentally stoned person such as myself since I payed $65 for this very hyped game, I am likeing it but I am not loving it because I keep dying all the freaking time. I mean seriously Easy should not require the ammount of mental gymnastics that I have to do. Thinking of loading an earlier save because I just keep running into enemys and not able to craft ♥♥♥♥ fast enough or I'm chooseing the wrong Neuromods?

OTHERWISE GREAT GAME LOVE IT LOLOLOL

I'm playing on hard and I don't think it's hard enough so I'm afraid this problem is just a problem with your playstyle, tactics, stategy, character build, etc.

We'll from what ive heard is that if your on nightmare and you recycle a shotgun your gonna get the same material from recycling a shotgun on normal, same with every other weapon etc. There are a few other things that might be the problem but I think thats your big one there.

don't play this game like action shooter like doom. play it like a survival horror. yes, i'm also surprised at the difficulty, and enjoyed it a lot

I was having all sorts of difficulties at first but after reading some posts and watching some videos I've gotten a better handle on the game. This isn't like other games (ME:A for example) where the easy setting basically means you one-shot enemies. You could build yourself up to insane proportions and abilities with some exploits (ie unlimited materials exploit). Being aware of the best uses for the Neuromods is the key. The only thing I hate about this game is the hacking. I hate any maze puzzle game where I have to also beat the clock.

Well im a mapper and I respect that balenceing a game out is a difficult thing, especially if it's like an online co-op game balanceing the npc's and puzzles is an almost impossible task.

But for a single player game? Easy should be, well, easy, not hard. Not even a little hard. Game is definetly survival horror, I should think about it more like that. It's easy to forget that when you run into a fabricator and print yourself out like 100 pistol bullets, only to an hour later be out of bullets low on health and struggleing to survive lol.

i agree about the hacking. it's stupid easy and isn't a representation of what hacking is. the puzzle gameplay doesn't punish the player for making a mistake other than being stunned 2 seconds and it only gets easier as the difficulty rating goes up

I choose to not take you seriously.

There in lies the problem. It's often easier to either sneak or run past enemies. Try to avoid enemies unless you absolutely can't, and if you can't utilize your GLOO cannon and abilities such as combat focus instead of just going in guns blazing. I suffered the same issues as you on my first playthrough, if you want to shoot every enemy you see you have to devote all your neuromods into increasing weapon effectiveness and all your resources into printing ammo. Otherwise, it's just not going to work.

The game is rated as 18+. Further more, this game falls into the genre of a thinking man's shooter. If you want EZ MODE ROFLMAO PEW PEW go play some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game like CoD.

I'm playing nightmare and it's braindead easy, endless medkits and ammo and nothing can even hurt me. Hoping for a NG+ or an upped difficulty in a patch.
I beat it on nightmare easily and thought the game was WAY to easy on the highest setting for my very first playthrough.... For christ sake you have robots that give you full health and armor whenever you need it so you can stock your medkits and suit kits, then most of the early enemies are mimics so using a wrench on them does more than enough all the way up to 1v3 situations. If you are using bullets on robots you are doing it wrong, they take massive amounts of damage with stun gun. Phantoms get basically 1 shot with shotgun.... idk... hell even nightmare typhoons were a major let down for me. The hardest enemies i fought were weavers because they would crap out those damn balls that chashed movement and deal explosive and rad damage.

I think the problem is you and not how hard the game is.... Im not even a good player....

EAT FOOD BRO

FOOD EVERYWHERE EAT SOME

I have used 1 medkit since I started.
iqscur May 11, 2017 @ 6:13pm
shotgun/pistol upgrade it, take some weapon damage and hp neuromods, pick up/recycle as much as you can for ammos and stuff, you should be fine.
Like Jackal said, nightmare typhoons are a huge let down, and weavers are a real pain in the ♥ss
