Early in the game, Morgan states, in the video recording, that you must destroy the station and everything in it including yourself to ensure that no typhons reach Earth. If you follow this directive, doesn't that mean that you shouldn't launch the escape pod?

I have been wondering the same thing. At that point i thought the same and blew the pod without releasing the hatch, failing the quest but hopefully saving the planet, well see.
