Recycler Charge Question

When I stick a recycler charge to a surface, it just sits there and beeps. Does it act like a mine against enemies? I have no idea.

Another thing about enemies and these recycler charges to try. Gloo a phantom Stick it to em then run away before it sets off ;)

If you need to trigger it early then a pistol shot will do it. They function as mines otherwise though.
