Prey
Audio Log Quick Key Glitch
So, you know how when you pick up an audio log it will say on the right "Press 'L' to listen"? Well ever since I picked up an audio log from Sho's room it ceased appearing. Which was bad for me because I'm used to hitting "L" to listen to them. Instead it would just keep starting up the damned audio log I picked up in Sho's room.

So I figured, "No big deal" and just deal with accidentally hitting "L" every so often and annoying myself when it plays and reminds me I need to open the menu to actually listen to a new audio.

Then I entered the Talos 1 Bridge and things changed. For one, when I accidentally activated the audio log and was reminded of the bug I was like oh well and kept going instead of going into the inventory and listening to the new audio log. I could just listen to the log later.

But not this time, because this was the damned captian's audio log on the bridge. So I'm still looking around the bridge for mimics and other stuff before looking at the captain's Comp like I usually do (because I don't want to get jumped while on a computer) when I suddenly get told I completed an Objective.

Turns out the game thought I listened to the captain's audio log and and then looked at the computer (which I didn't) and missed out on the damned quest which completed itself for me because it was a do or do not quest (And since I had no idea, I did nothing). That's not cool. At all.

I can't have crap like that happening. Anyone know how to fix the damned audio log quick key?
I have restarted the game and it now auto calls the audio log for nightmare attraction. :(

Well, what I can tell you from experience - some logs auto play. Some don't. I think the ones which auto-play are quest-related, but not 100% sure. Also sometimes there are two logs on the same transcribe so you have to hit L twice. Basically just press 'L' anytime you pick up a new log, best twice in row.

Yes, the nightmare log is super annoying - until you play both at least once they'll be marked as new and play by anytime you hit L to check for new ones ;-)
