Use of flowers? and backpack space

Is their only use is to be recycled or is there anything else? Also how do I make more space in my bag? If its a suit upgrade i've reached the hardware lab so far.

Anything marked as a junk item is only useful for being broken down into materials. You get inventory size increases from neuromod upgrades.
