From what I read, it doesn't matter which one you complete first. As long as you beat the game using just the abilities for humans and Typhon in two seperate campaigns then you'll get the achievement.
I tried this the first time I did the No Needles playthrough. From what I've read on other forums, the game is smart enough to detect this and it won't trigger the achievement. I think it only works with one save.
Say, for example, you do a No Needles run and save before the end of the game and get some Typhon abilities, then you would have to play another campaign with just human abilities and vice versa. So you can get the No Needles achievement and then reload the game and get Typhon achievements but you would still have to play another campaign.
There should be 2 lines, e.g.
<Attr name="SplitAffinityAlienCampaign" value="6241943644282449265"/>
<Attr name="SplitAffinityHumanCampaign" value="6241943644282449193"/>
Check them before finishing any of them for presence and GUIDs correspondence.
I suppose:
1)That this lines will be added when you are picking power on the 1st time (with neuromod "cutscene".
2)If you pick other branch, this line will be removed.
3)Pretty sure that you can "restore" your saves if you suddenly wanish them with other branch powers.
I did not fiddle with the saves, nor used any mods. Someone suggested that it worked because I did it before some patch, but I don't know if that is of any importance.
I probably didn't need to do all these steps, I just did it to make sure. Either way, thanks to everyone who posted in this thread. Hopefully some of these comments can point people towards the right direction if they're having problems getting this achievement.
