This is after Alex initiates the lockdown. You have the option to save Dr. Igwe by docking the container unit he is trapped in. After that you can use the container unit to get into the area where 10 or so of the survivors are.
This is after you get into Deep Storage. There's no telepath anywhere.
I was reading some other forums, and it seems that it might have been because one of them saw me, through the glass, using the teleport ability to leave a decay since there were a few Phantoms I was fighting. I loaded a previous save, which is a tad bit back, but I'll try to avoid using the alien abilities around them and see if that was the issue or not.
I am at the place again, so I will test not using and using alien abilities near them and see if that is a trigger or not.
i never used typhon abilities at that point in any of my playthroughs as 1. you have the sentries set up which usually do most of the work or2. i had a full upgraded shotgun etc that was better than any thphon abilities
This ^^ is what you said mate. This means that I can get attacked by the humans if I attack them or use alien abilities ON them.
I did neither. Again, from what I've read, One of them must have seen me use an ability when attack phantoms. I am going to put a new comment here after I do some tests to see if just using an ability in sight of a human causes them to go hostile.
Again, to clarify, I never attacked them or used an ability ON them.
If you use an alien ability in front of friendly human NPCs, they will become hostile for you.
Most likely because, to them, you are "infected", and considering how many audio logs there are of the residence of the stations freaking out about one another not actually "being" one another, or how the "chef" mentions how they "look like us", I can see why.
Nice touch in the game tbh.
the staff were anti-neuromod which is why they attack you regardless of using it on them or not
Regardless, I figured it out after doing some testing.
I did also test using an ability right in front of them. I made sure to save, and tried out teleport, mimic, and a couple of other abilities, and each time they saw me use one they freaked out.
Perhaps they didn't agro on you because they didn't see you. The AI's "view" can be really stupid at times, such as when I hid directly underneath the nightmare, and even though it's model was looking down right at me, it didn't "see" me.
"OP's hostility"? You didn't answer the question and said that I attacked the humans, or used the ability against them, and then you tried to argue semantics. I didn't care to debate about what you meant as opposed to what you said, so I did my own testing and figured it out. You can call "not wanting to debate on a forum" hostility if you wish, I suppose.
Regardless, I didn't test everything, but I did find out that using an ability in front of a human when exploring the station normally will cause them to become hostile. It is interesting that there might be a possibility of scripted events overriding this, so if anyone finds more things about when and when not humans will become hostile to you, feel free to share!
