Glitch? Disgruntled Gamer.

I'm playing Disgruntled Employee. I've activated Grant's bracelet. Objective arrows led me out through the airlock at Deep Storage. There is no marker for Lockwood. I've watched walkthroughs and know where he should be roughly. But there is no name showing. No arrows pointing the way. And no green dot indicating something. He stops existing once I get outside.

Any ideas?

You need to put some distance between you and Talos-1, Lockwood is the farthest object in space, further than the shuttle, if I recall correctly he's about 800 meters away.

I just found him last night, but i encountered the same problem. I eventually used a video to find his location, as it wasn't showing up once i reaced the exterior.

As far as I'm aware, this is just a bit of a bug / deviation from how other quests work. The 'Disgruntled Employee' quest tracker doesn't pinpoint his location outside until you get close, and even tracking him from a security terminal won't show the location until you get close enough that the green dot would appear (I think this is a bug, tracking him from the security terminal SHOULD pinpoint him from a distance).

He is pretty far out, way out where you start to get irradiated. Try tracking him from a security station, and if that doesn't pinpoint him go about to the level of the hardware labs, then as far out as you can before you start getting irradiated, and start circling the station. That should get you close enough for the green dot to show up.

Weird, in every playthrough I always got the Lockwood marker properly, even got the marker from inside the station pointing to the fastest/closest hatch door. However, once outside, the green dot would not pop up with the content of the quest, so I had to get some distance from Talos-1 (and the other green dots/markers), so then the green dot showed the text box, and I just thrusted my way towards Lockwood.

On the other hand, I've had the Remmer or Hague quests fail once or twice through no fault of my own, so I guess everyone sees different bugs in the game's quests....

Ok I think I figured out what you have to do. You have to go to Hardward Labs (I think that part is important because I'm sure I did this at a different security) and search for Grant on the security console. Then you go out the airlock, up and over, then around the dish. Then you look past the golden, winged lion and you will see his name appear. It wouldn't appear for me before and I flew out there. I don't think he physically spawns in the game until you search at Hardware Labs.
