- NEUROSHOCK
A mod that makes many changes to the game's difficulty in a number of ways. New abilities, tweaked powers, enhanced AI and a number of other changes make a new play through of Prey feel like a new experience!

Some of the changes this mod makes requires a NEW GAME



- INSTALLATION

Drop patch_Neuroshock.pak or any other .pak included into your \Prey\GameSDK\Precache\ folder, this is where all .pak mods go


- OPTION

Included in the zip is an Optional folder containing various patches
RE7Mode : Slows your walk and run speed similar to Resident Evil 7
SkillsOriginal : Use Prey's original NeuroMod Skill Trees
SkillsCost0 : All NeuroMod skills cost 0 NeuroMods
SkillsCost8 : All NeuroMod skills cost 8 NeuroMods
AggressivePhantoms : Phantom AI is much more aggressive


- RECOMMENDED

With this mod, I recommend starting a new game using the base mod and the RE7 addon with all Survival mode options enabled. This mod makes many tweaks based around the Survival mode and may be less balanced otherwise.


- DETAILS

I don't want to spoil everything that's changed, but to give people a sense of a small portion of what precisely this mod does I'll list a few


Suit Repair Kits repair much more but are also much rarer. No more carrying around 30+ repair kits and healing your suit whenever you like. This encourages more decision making with them as well; your suit is at 50% integrity, do you use up your last repair kit or wait a little longer to get the full benefit of the kit?

Operators have a cost now, Medical operators damage your suit when they heal you, while engineering and science operators hurt you

Eating food no longer heals 15 health immediately, but the Well Fed status lasts much longer

Combat Focus no longer costs PSI (since it's not a typhon ability) and doesn't last as long (especially at higher levels), but now as you level it up time slows down much more

Many skills and abilities were changed to make them both balanced or more interesting with the intention of making a new playthrough more unique
