In my case it was more expensive buying separately.

Out of curiosity, about how long did you play before you got that pop-up as I just started up the game to see if it would be like every other game and give you the DLC pop up at the start but did not notice anything so I am curious if it's in the first hour or longer since I probably will not be able to play the game for few days.

That is unusual, did you maybe buy the game before launch and return it before or does your copy list anything in the DLC section on your Library page? It also could be some weird region thing as well as you just never know with Steam but you seem to be the only lucky one that got it then.

You can get a regular shotgun even earlier than getting to your apartments.

I'm not even a hardcore audiophile, but surround is essential as I don't use headphones and won't tolerate sound coming from all channels simultaneously on top of dialogue being nearly completely muted and therefore I have to sadly pass on this game and this DLC for only $8.

What is perplexing is that the number of games in my 100+ Steam and Origin libraries with no surround sound support is currently 1 (Far Cry 4, and presumably 3, which I played with headphones before stepping up to surround, and possibly Far Cry 5).

That a AAA game in 2017 doesn't support surround sound, nor an XBOX One controller (possibly 360 as well, which I presume the vast majority of PC owners are using), has a locked frame-rate, locked FOV, doesn't get called out for this by the mainstream video game reviewers and is glossed over by SkillUp is alarming. Only WAF covers the FOV issue, which can be addressed with a hack from what I gather.

It now has a FOV slider and you can use an Xbox One Controller. Used both myself.
