Original Prey (2006, 2K Games) removed from Steam?

The previous game with the same name doesn't appear on Steam anymore. Other common shops don't seem to list it either. Is there no legal source anymore?

I got it on ratail physical disk some 4 or so years ago, 3€... you see. Try some Game or similar stores.

I bought a Steam key for the original Prey on Ebay a few weeks ago. Works just fine

It's similar to Wolfenstein (2009) which is also no longer available on the Steam store. To my understanding, both games, Wolfenstein and Prey (2006), are owned by Bethesda, or rather their parent company ZeniMax, since they've acquired the intellectual properties of both the series.

Maybe though the rights for all the assets or licensed content in the games are not in the clear, or for some reason Bethesda/ZeniMax don't want to associate themselves with those games, I don't know.

Can confirm, just bought a steam key on eBay for less than three dollaps. It doesn't show up in the store, even if you search for it specifically, but if you enter a steam key it will be added to your library. EZPZ

Now if there is just a way to combine the different mods... Impacts & Ichor, HD Textures and Full Shadows are all terrific but AFAIK you can only load one at a time ;(

necro thread, but ♥♥♥♥ it. I was actually able to save money on a collectors edition of the original from Amazon. For whatever reason, it was cheaper than the normal version.

You can buy original Prey on xbox store. You can get it on xbox series x. Should be available on older xbox consoles as well.

If you have the xbox 360 Prey disc, you don't have to buy it. Put in the disc and the game download will start. The only downside here is that the disc has to be in the console when you want to play it. The console gives you a "verify license" prompt if you don't.
