Prey
Cannot get it to detect Reshade...
Ok, I use Reshade in every game. Not only is it obviously useful for tweaking the game to look pretty damn good, but often times some options can even help with performance. It's an excellent tool. Main reason I mention this is because I know how to install it. Even back when it was manual, and not the exe variants where you merely select the folder in the directory with the game's exe in it.

But for some reason it just does not hook into Prey for me. And LOTS of people seem to have it working just fine, so I'm unsure wtf is going on to be honest.

I use 3.0.8. Installed into steamapps/common/Prey/Binaries/Danielle/x64/Release, set to use D3D10+ (dxgi.dll) so on and so forth. In that folder is now the dxgi.dll, dxgi.ini, and the Reshade Shaders folder containing that stuff. All is well.

Except when I launch the game, Reshade simply does not show up. No Shift +F2 menu. No preset creation. Absolutely nothing. I've seen some threads talking about the game crashing with Reshade, but nobody seems to have it simply act like Reshade isn't installed when it blatantly is...

Any ideas?

Sorry to bump an old thread but did you ever fix this? reshade has been working fine on Prey for the past year but recently stopped loading and after i reinstalled it the same issue as yours has begun to occur.

Yeah, something happened to the game, maybe an update? I played the game last week and reshade still worked. Tried it yesterday and it just no longer works.

Haven't used it before but I do believe the feature is part of Geforce Experience. It allows for various custom and preset filters and a quick overview of it when they released it looked pretty nice if you have an Nvidia GPU.

i Just tried it.. it looks nice .but tanks fps..so no go for me. I got better effects using reshade when it worked without a drop in fps..performance with this nvidia game filter with one effect enabled gives me ♥♥♥♥ fps and stutters.

Still doesn't work as of 4.5.4. The SSR and RTGI Global illumination looked so good on this game when it worked! :(
