If they actually recorded the lines for the corrupted medical operators, it would be great if they added them into the game via a patch.

1. Developed by "Looking Glass Technologies". In Prey, they are using "Looking Glass technology" for video recordings.

LGT lost intellectual property rights, so they cannot make "System Shock" games. At some point, they formed "Irrational Games" and made Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite.
Some people who worked on System Shock also worked on Prey (2017).
So, YEAH, there are references to System Shock. This IS "System Shock 3", or a game as close to it as it could be without running into legal issues. The only thing missing is for the Evil Computer system to be called Shodan :-)
The very first door you unlock in System Shock has the code 451.

You really should. There is an enhanced edition of the original that greatly improves the controls from the original by adding mouse look support. And makes it move and feel a lot more like modern fps games.
Graphics are a bit dated by todays standard. But that wonderful voice of Shodan more than makes up for it. But the gameplay still holds up really well.
But if you're the patient type, there is a remake in the works and it looks amazing.
