How to use glide in normal gravity ?

As the title says, how do you do it ? I've seen vids where the player does VERY long forward / downward jumps as if "gliding" and lands without injuries.

Just hold jump button(space by default). And you need to craft the Artax thingy first

to add to what itaros said, you need an item to do that. you get it via the main quest, so just follow that and youll be good.

I have already have the Artax system and crafted. I have jump assigned to one of my mouse side buttons. I'm not sure if a mouse button would count if even held or if it just registers as a single click. Perhaps that's why it hasn't worked in gravity areas.
