I mainly used the disruptor and wrench for most things. The shotgun is useful for fire/voltaic phantoms and the q beam is good for telepaths, weavers, and nightmares. The disruptor as is can take out a technopath alone. A fully upgrade one is a beast.
Extra health is nice, but not necessary.
I would not bother with necroscopy unless you want to mess with typhon powers, as you will almost never use any exotic materials. I had over 200 by the end.
The pistol is pretty awful. You're much better off using either the wrench (for mimics) or the Huntress Boltcaster (for cystoids). I only used it when i needed a bit of extra damage at the end, but didn't want to reload.
If you're doing a "no neuromod" run, it basically comes down to using nullwave emitters and your disruptor, as they shut down most enemies quite handily.
Hacking is usually most common used neuromod since it allows so much. I personally perfer mindjack for some situtations because you can use it to escape if needed.
