Does new Prey have quicksave or Save anywhere, or does it have checkpoints?

I'm really getting sick of all new "PC" games now following the console "horror" of using checkpoints only to save a game. It REALLY sucks.

I want to know ! does this game have real SAVEs or checkpoints?

thanks.....I won't be playing the game if it has checkpoints, or any other game released by Steam with checkpoints. I can't. It makes me crazy. I watchecd the live playthrough video on another site of Vikings. To my horror, I watched an excelllent player go through the same checkpoint 14 times, each time taking over 5 minutes of play difficult,.....and the player was GOOD. I bought the game on Steam, and now I feeel sick for throwing away $30. Shoooters and RPG's should have save anywhere. ALWAYS. Checkpoints are a rip-off. PC games are NOT console games.

As soon as someone buys and plays this game being released today, please let us know: User saves or Checkpoints.

So I can't confirm this, natch, but this looks very much like Dishonored in Space so it feels like a safe bet that it'll have quicksaves. Autosaves I remember seeing in one of the gameplay demos--the one hosted by Rock Paper Shotgun, if I'm remembering correctly. If you're interested, they've got that up on their YouTube page.

Based on dev streams that have been seen, the game has save anywhere you want and quicksave anywhere you want. Quicksave slots are limited. Not sure of limit for regular save slots.

F5 to quick save and F9 to quick load are both in the game or there is a quick save on the pause menu

I played 30 mins and there is no auto-save yet
