This. The game starts slow, with the mimics that hide around and can be pretty bad if you can't take them out one at a time, or lose sight of them. Eventualy you get a large human sized monster that you need to keep track of, ether running, hiding, or just trying to fight.
After about the second-third story area it starts to go down hill. From creepy, and earily empty space station. To a space station full of monsters and robot wizards. Eventualy I just started running from place to place. Not even worrying about hiding.
But again, for the first 1/3d of the game its pretty creepy. Wish they would have gone with that the whole game.
This, feels more horror/stealth when first playing with basic mimics and Phantoms. when thermal and electical etc. aliens start getting introduced, that feeling sorta goes away. Plus I feel the need to fight pretty much everything since there is, as normally there is loot around where they are or something of importance, better to get the jump on them first before they get the jump on you.
You realise the pistol is OP and you're the one hunting the aliens... lol.
this wasnt really the case in the first prey game, in the first one you got abducted, and it was some what scary to be in an alien enviornment
