It's a single player game, you're not hurting anyone elses gameplay (unlike multiplay), so go ahead and knock yourself out.

That said, I think it takes away from the intention of the game.

in singleplayer games people can do whatever they want. If they have fun with cheats then who cares, if they ruin their fun with cheats, who cares. It doesn't affect anyone else.

Since it's a single player, I can really give a damn what someone does in their game. If it's fun for them and floats their boat, who am I to complain about them having fun?

Was Prey a particular title that could be enhanced with cheats? I don't feel that way, since everything is already easy to acquire and there's not much you can do with everything you get. Some games I feel it does improve the fun of the game, particularly GTA for instance.

i know it is single player but i just cant stand it it ruin what the creator made thats like going up to an artist and ripping up a peice of their art in front of their face it just ruins it especially before you had a chance to experience what they made

they use it on prey in partigular for infinite ammo and to not die and they litterally just started playing like they just fixed the looking glass

I normally stay away from cheats, since they just make the game boring. However I do sometimes use cheats if the game has bugged or something. Though I don't really know how well does Denuvo accept cheats, so I'd be careful around them. Not sure though

Sounds like you need new friends, specifically ones that don't participate in weak behaviour such as cheating. Cheating speaks to a person's character. They are free to play their game however they choose, and I am free to think less of them for doing so.

It's tough call in SP, if you are stuck then I'd cheat but cheating right off the bat seems like it'd make the game a boring experience, but if they enjoy it like that they aren't hurting anyone.

Is it actual cheats like cheatengine stuff or the exploits?

My old man loves playing fps games, and he finds enjoyment in turning on godmode, notarget, noclip, ect. Hes old and is completely terrible at videogames, so he doesnt want a challenge or the "proper experience" he just likes to have fun blowing monsters away and stuff. Its a shame that games dont seem to come with proper cheats built in like they used too, like developer consoles and stuff. He actually ran around in fallout 4 with godmode, completely nude, with a infinite mininuke launcher lol.

my thing is atleast beat the game once before cheating

As long as they aren't getting achievements anymore until they return to an earlier non-cheated save, idc. Important since achievements make a comparison between players (those who have them, those two don't) without mentioning who cheated to get them.

Otherwise you may as well remove achievements from singleplayer games cause it'd be impossible to know whether they were achieved honestly or not.
