I got to the powerplant and need both morgan's and alex's arming keys but I only have morgan's. Where the hell do I go to get Alex's key?

You get it from Alex.

Continue the main story. You're only half-way there. Getting Alex's key is still a bit away. It has it's own main story quest.

Ohhhh my bad. I was thinking of when you first get to the power plant.


So, Alex has the key on his body when the Apex Typho breaches Talos I. If you can go back there and find his body, he has a key and a blueprint on him.

Okay, but what part of the ship is his body on and how do I get there from the power plant

You had to meet him in person at the Arbortorium, on the outside deck of his office, which is where he talks to you about the nullwave plan and so forth. So his body should still be there.

I assume the Apex Typhoid broke through all the glass?

I tried flying to the aboretum from outside the ship and it says it's in lockdown

Did you progress in the main story all the way till the end? It's It's at the very end that you get it from him after a major event.

Wrong section of the power plant. The reboot sequence is in the little raised circular room next to the actual reactor.

Yeah I was right then. The key is totally unrelated to what you're doing since you're doing the mission "Reboot". When in the power plant room, with the reactor 4 floors below you, there's a small control room looking at it with a terminal and 6 switches.

You can also find a way on top of the room and there's a movable hatch cover. So you can drop in.
