[GAME ISSUE] [SPOILER] Moon is spinning around Talos I instead Earth
Hello guys!

I'm here to report a bug!

After you arrive on Cargo Bay area, when you look the space through Cargo Bay window, you can see the moon rotating around the Talos I, at same speed as Talos I, when it should stay on Earth's orbit.

This bug breaks the immersion so much

I've created two videos about it, I'll append them here

https://youtu.be/4iSmXUNvyPs

And from another angle

https://youtu.be/Ffxr1HDGLPc

It's ♥♥♥♥ing annoying, really ¬¬

Anyone else saw this issue? =S

I doubt anyone cared.

I don't get the sense the moon is orbiting Talos 1, no. I'm willing to see it as some oddity with Talos 1s orbit.

It's a freaking Beginner developer error

The only place where I noted was Cargo Bay area, yet

Pahahaha, I just watched your video. Are you thick? Talos I clearly appears to be orbiting the moon, meaning as we orbit, Earth appears to be moving while the moon is stationary.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

OH NO! I'M QUAKING IN MY BOOTS!

If you're such a child that stupid ♥♥♥♥ like this ruins an awesome game for you, just stop. Don't play games anymore. Ask mom to take the controller away. Go play in a park, you need the fresh air.

Maybe while you're there you can get a good look at the moon and learn how perspective works!

Why are you being a douche if I never offend you on this thread? I'm the children here? Really?

Earth orbits sun.
Moon orbits earth.
Talos orbits moon.

I don't see the problem.
Bucket May 8, 2017 @ 3:12pm
It could be due to how Talos spins for it's gravity, or however it does it. I'll be honest I didn't watch the videos though.

Would the moons gravity even be strong enough to keep something the size of Talos-1 in orbit? Without Talos-1 needing massive correctional thrusters.

I decided to watch the videos, it's possibly the perception of being the object that's in orbit to it's target, like how we used to think the sun revolved around the earth because, well that's what it looks like to the naked eye.

The devs wanted Talos to spin around moon at same speed and same direction as the moon while orbiting her, making the moon stationary

But it feels strange the way they did in the game

A fixed orbit could definitely make it seem like the moon is going around the station rather than vice versa, I'll admit my astronomy is probably not upto par here.

That's because the station should orbit the moon at same direction and speed the moon is orbiting Earth; that would make Moon stationary. The problem is: Talos is orbiting the moon at same speed and direction the moon is orbiting Earth, but is spinning on itself in another direction as you can see after watching Talos solar panels around her, they indicate that Talos is spinning on another direction

EDIT: Nope, the station is spinning the way it should, my mistake. I was confused by the solar panel circles around her. I knew the speed and direction were correct, but the solar panels circles around confused me.

Thanks for your comments, Bucket. Thanks for your comments too, @Bubblegum and @Kommissar Klose =D

But that is not a excuse for the douche behavior of Mr. Klokinator above

@Klokinator,

You're a A S S H O L E, period. Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself
